The Mammillaria Reference Collection
was first created in 2006 with the aim of propagating, growing, comparing, documenting, distributing & generally conserving the many species this interesting South American genus of Cacti. Many of the species worked with fall into the categories of Rare, Endangered or Critically Endangered Species. Most originate from Mexico.

The purpose of the collection is to act as a conservatory for as many Mammillaria species as possible. A further objective is to distribute surplus plants to other collectors & cacti enthusiasts, thus furthering the conservation of these varied, attractive & valued plants.
